Synthesis
The gift package arrives at birth
and as Life progresses
we draw from it
in various degrees
at various moments
with various effects
Energy and Spirit
Love |
| and senses of |
sight
sound
taste and touch |
The ability to absorb
perceive
and to wonder |
Trial and error
to choose and to order
to speak
The strength of sex
the beauty of intimacy
and sharing
And Time
not a limitless Time
but Time with an Ending
This bundle of Time
in which we each swim
and waste... ignore...
or mold
But always consume
Our parcel of Time
from which we must each take
raw material
Love, Energy, Wonder, Perception
to squander
or shape
To synthesize
finding meaning
drawn from the experience of living
Ideas in a material Universe
Life considering itself
