Motivations

Naturally
without consciousness
there is bred into us
some drive
to move what needs moving
to lift a spirit
enough to act
to achieve if only a little

Spirits uplifted
when conditions are right
with Mind receptive
flexing its muscles
enriched by discoveries
fulfilled by searches for Life's Meanings

We extend
the processes begun
before we stepped this Earth

A body driven
by a pounding heart
sustained by its doggedness
Mind experimenting
through choices
finding sources of inspiration
refinding sources of motivation

Reasons
Meanings
found in the Process
without and within us
when that which is part of us
and that touched someplace
by body and Mind
igniting the Spark

as two flints striking
loosening the mindset
opening doors
through which we go running
